Quinoa Bread
Ingredients
1 cup of quinoa
Half a teaspoon of honey
2.5 cups of water
2 teaspoons of salt
2 cups flour
1 packet of instant yeast
Half a glass of warm milk
Half a glass of warm water
60 ml of melted butter
1 egg
For the above
15 g butter
Put the quinoa, honey, 2 glasses of water and salt in a
saucepan and cook on low heat with the lid closed until the water evaporates.
Mix the flour and yeast in a large bowl. Add half a glass of warm water, eggs,
milk and butter. Separate half a tea glass from the cooked quinoa, add the rest
to the dough and knead. Add flour if necessary for a non sticky dough. Cover it
and let it rise for 1 hour. Tear off pieces from the dough and arrange them on
a baking paper lined tray, spaced apart. Keep it covered for 20 minutes. Brush
it with butter, sprinkle the quinoa you have separated, and bake in the oven at
200 degrees until golden brown. Serve.
