Baked Ham
Baked Ham
Ingredients
1 (10-lb.) boneless or
bone-in cooked whole ham
1 1/2 c. apple cider
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. Dijon mustard
1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
Directions
Step 1Preheat oven to 325º. Place ham
on a rack set in a roasting pan. Using a sharp knife, score outside of ham in a
crosshatch pattern, spacing about 1/2" apart. Cover with foil and bake
until warmed through, 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Step 2During the last 45 minutes of
cooking, in a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk apple cider, brown sugar,
mustard, and vinegar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and bring
to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until reduced by about half, 10 to 15
minutes.
Step 3Uncover ham. Continue to bake,
brushing glaze on ham every 15 minutes, until an instant-read thermometer
inserted into thickest part of ham registers 140°, about 45 minutes more.
Step 4Brush with glaze after removing
from oven. Let rest 15 minutes before slicing.
