How to Make
Quince Dessert Recipe in a Pot?
Fill a large
bowl with cold water and squeeze the lemon into it.
First, peel
the quinces, cut them in half lengthwise, cut the insides with a knife or
spoon, carefully cut the stems and bottoms and set aside the residues. While
doing this process, keep the peeled quince in water with lemon.
After
placing the peels, then the insides and quince seeds under a flat and
wide-bottomed pot, place the quinces in the pot with their hollow parts facing
up.
Transfer the
sugar to the pot so that it fills the middle of the quinces and covers them.
Add a clove to the middle of the quinces and drop the cinnamon stick into the
pot.
Finally,
pour the water little by little in such a way that it does not absorb the sugar
on the quinces, but slightly moistens them, close the lid of the pot and open
the bottom of the stove in high position.
After you
see the first boiling after about 15 minutes, turn the bottom of the stove to
the lowest you can and let it cook for about 1.5 - 2 hours.
After the
first 1 hour, check the quinces by digging them in the thickest parts with the
tip of the knife from time to time. Before the softness of the quinces reaches
the consistency of disintegration, carefully turn the quinces over with the
help of two spoons, turn off the stove and let them rest for 12 hours at room
temperature.
You can
serve the rested quinces, which have become firm again, by dipping them in
sherbet sauce that has accumulated in the pot and adding walnuts and cream to
it. Enjoy your meal.
