Sweet Meat Stew
1.7 oz.
Butter
17.5 oz.
lamb or beef cubed meat
7 oz. onions
30 ml
molasses
500-600 ml
of water
0.1 oz.
allspice
0.1 oz.
cinnamon powder
0.1 oz. of
salt
fresh mint
leaves
How is it
done?
1 Melt the
butter in the saucepan. When the oil melts, add the pieces of meat and fry them
by turning them on all sides.
2 Take it
out of the oil when it is fried, and fry the finely chopped onions in the same
pan.
3 When the
onions turn pink, add the meat along with the oil. Add the molasses and add
enough water to cover the meat by 2 inches.
4 Cook on
low heat with the mouth open for an average of 1.5 hours until the meat is
tender.
5 When the
stew is ready, sprinkle allspice, cinnamon powder and salt into it and mix.
6 Cut fresh
mint leaves into strips and sprinkle them on when serving.
